What is the best martial arts?

im in hapkido right now. i like it alot. it really puts me in shape and i learned alot from it. i was wondering is there any martial arts that are more intense or superior.

What is the best martial arts?
I would have to say that no art is the ultimate winner. If you are in hapkido just pour yourself into it and become the very best you can be at it.If you have friends who are into different styles practice with them, learn how to attack and defend against all types of attack methods. This will help you to modify technics to work against different opponents.Alot of what is taught in todays world just doesn't work in an all out altercation but it is tradition so learning it never hurts a person but trying to use some of it might get you hurt.Lets never forget the best way to avoid a fight is to simply walk away.My Sifu has a shoilin creed on the wall that says...Seek peace always, but when the soul becomes threatened let the soul become a warrior.Don't be too concerned about finding a superior art, just become superior in the art you train in.
Reply:Sorry no martial art is inferior or superior to another. The winner of mma was a brazilian jujitsu fighter but then again traditional Jujitsu has karate, judo and brazilian jujitsu so you cant say that either is better...

Hapkido is both offensive and defensive I wanted to try it once but I dont have the time atm.

All martial arts in their best forms are equal... the problem is to get there :o)
Reply:idk.i would suggestlooking up what types there are and what they do differently.
Reply:The level of intensity and superiority depends not on the art, but on the school and the individual.

Some martial arts that are known for their intensity and effectiveness are:

For striking: muay thai, boxing, san shou, shidokan and kyokushin karate.

For grappling: judo, brazilian jujitsu, wrestling, sambo.

good luck!
Reply:wing chun sparring is pretty intense when the hands are locked together.
Reply:Tang Soo Do. It's found in almost ever country and it teaches alot of self defense.
Reply:There are no ther superior types of martial arts, what makes the differance is the persons natural level of skill in it, whether it be shaolinkungfu, taiji, baqua, ect.

Its up to you to become good.
Reply:The martial artist makes the art what it is. For me personally, it is kajukenbo.
