The advantages of martial arts, wich one is better for this?
kickboxing will help with all 3 but you'll have to practice a lot with it.and to work on your strength more do push ups for your arms sit ups for your endurance and lift wieghts for both.
Reply:Out of all the martial arts practice today, only one I believe is the most useful and beneficial is practicing kungfu with the combination if Tai Chi. Kung Fu mixes so many level of techniques combine with other martial arts out there, it is practically the source of all fighting styles. Kung Fu and Tai Chi are good matches because when you encounter a problem whether its emotional or physical both can be practiced to free your mind, by meditating. With the right teacher you should be able to tell the difference if this martial arts skill works for you.
Reply:Pretty much all styles will give you those properties you desire. First you want to decide if you want a hard or a soft style.

Hard styles are more using your raw force to over come an opponent, examples include: karate, tae kwon do, kick boxing etc.

Soft styles are more about using your opponent's force against him and internal work. Examples include: Tai Chi, Ba Gua, Akido, Hapkido etc.

Depending on the form of kung fu you take it can be either or both. That's what I'm currently taking and I enjoy it greatly.
Reply:Muay Thai or some form of kickboxing is very complete, but regular Western boxing will give you fast hands like no other, in addition to great footwork. Ever see some of these boxers fight? Amazing. To what Jun S said, I disagree simply because there are so many different styles of Kung Fu (remember, it's just a general term for the different martial arts from China), so saying "kung fu" really doesn't help.
Reply:Systema...systema teaches how to survive from nearly every conceivable position or disadvantage

Reply:I do believe Kung Fu gives you all these things

It DEFINETLY gives you reflexes, speed and through trainning you learn how to maximize the strength of your hits.It all has to do with proper positioning and Kung Fu is all about being in the right position and take the best out of each situation.
