What is your favorite weapon if you take martial arts? no guns, or anything that is not related to martial art

DO NOT ANSWER BY PUTTING GUNS, KNIVES AND ANY OTHER STUPID STUFF THAT IS NOT RELATED TO MARTIAL ARTS AND THE WEAPONS... I AM TALKING ABOUT WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WEAPON IN MARTIAL ARTS!

What is your favorite weapon if you take martial arts? no guns, or anything that is not related to martial art
3 section staff.
Reply:You'll not be telling this old Mick what to use and what not to use. I come to a fight prepared to win, and if that takes a knife or a gun or me whoppin' big shillelagh, so be it. 'Tis not my carcass they'll be dragging to the waste pit...
Reply:1- GUNS ARE WEAPONS USED IN MARTIAL ARTS.

2- KNIVES ARE WEAPONS USED IN MARTIAL ARTS.

martial arts are the arts of mars, mars the god of war- any weapon used in war is a "martial arts weapon".

even if you exclude guns, there are tons of schools that teach knife fighting.

naruto only makes you stupid- go watch some south park.
Reply:Ubewaza? Not sure of the spelling, but, it amounts to a small piece of wood(*) just longer than the fist. To be clenched in the fist. It is used in conjunction with punching. Since this is a very short weopon, it can not easily be taken away like tire irons or ball bats! [Any long weopons are easily taken away by third degree or higher black belt martial artists!]
Reply:Your 'BRAINS'. Thats your best weapon in martial.
Reply:I have always been a fan of "numb chucks". . sorry about the spelling. . my two all time favorite fighters Bruce Lee and Jet Li have great footage of them tearing it up versus opponents with various other weapons. . they are agile, adaptable and fluent--just like the two aforementioned fighters. . look at Enter The Dragon and Fearless for video confirmation
Reply:Mm... I'm pretty good with staff twirling in juggling, so I think I would want to learn how to use one in martial arts. It would also be interesting to join up with one of the Star Wars fighting groups and learn how to fight with a lightsaber, as that could be applied to sword or knife combat.

But if I'm watching, I'm easily impressed by just about any weapon.
Reply:Probably the short stick or Staff. Both of these are practical weapons that can be translated for street combat. A pool cue,a tree branch,pipe,...they are similar
Reply:Although you don't accept knives as part of this question the truth is that knives are also part of the martial arts curriculum in some systems of martial arts such as ninjutsu in which the knife used is called a TANTO. But to my preference this would be the hanbo (3" staff) the reason is practicality you see as a 3 ft. staff is just long enough to be a walking stick it would not be questioned as a weapon if you choose to walk around with it in plain view. All other weapons unfortunately are either illegal to have or just carry in some states. The hanbo is small and as legal as it gets.

Hope you like the answer.
Reply:Chinese straight sword, easy to learn but hard to master. Versatile enough in strategies to defend from any weapons. My personal favor.

*Loads of fun to work with, very relaxing.

2. Nun Chaku.

*Lots of concentration.

*Marginally practical for self defense.

3. Side handle baton (PR-24).

*WOW!

*Very cool. Lots of variations of applications available.

4. Bo staff.

*Something which I'd like to learn one day.

Have A Nice Weekend!
Reply:Double hook swords, as seen in Shandong Eagle, Southern Choy Lay Fut, and Hung Gar. Butterfly swords are nice too.
