Martial arts retreats?

DOes anyone know about some martial arts "live-in" programs that last for atleast a week. It can be any style kung fu,kyokushin,MMA,ninjitus......ect. Im planning on making a trip in the next year to do something like this.

Martial arts retreats?
There are plenty of them

A few off the top of my head that I am personally familiar with are:

ASU Summer camp in the Rockies - ASU Aikido hosted by Mistugi Saotome Shihan, Hiroshi Ikeda Shihan, Frank Doran Shihan (all Aikidoka) and Kenji Ushiro Shihan (Shindo-ryu Karate-do)

This is an annual event. There is a summer camp in Washington DC of the same flavor.

All year round, Master Peter Ralston (Founder Cheng Hsin). He has week to month long and longer intensives all year round. Check it out at www.chenghsin.com

Again, not an advertisement, but a list off the top of my head. If I can think of two in a few moments, I'm sure some light research can come up with all sorts of good stuff.
Reply:There are tours, but I don't know if you actually live on the training ground.

check www.tour2korea.com/taekwondo

There are also some for Japan and Okinawa as well.

Try www.newworldus.com

I am not endorsing these places, just know that they offer these types of tours.

I have been to Japan and Korea, airfare alone is going to be about $2500 round trip to Seoul or Tokyo Narita.

Reply:The term for a live in student is Uchi deshi. Aikido is well known for them. Not sure about other arts.
