What other martial arts is like wushu?

A martial arts which isnt really about fighting... It's just like wushu.. it shows the art and something which also involves the use of weapons with amazing exhibition moves.

What other martial arts is like wushu?
Q: What other martial arts is like wushu?

A: According to China's present Imperial family and Emperor (China's son of Heaven) and myself included. I must emphatically say that there is not other art, when it comes to wushu. Wushu is an ancient Chinese art of boxing or self-defense. It is the oldest martial art in China, an ageless land of over 4,000 years. Wushu is thought to be the basis of our modern martial arts system, modified by the martial arts during the 1600's, I best believe, in China. It is this martial art from China (Chen-style) that went to Okinawa in the name of chuanfa (kungfu), which later spread to Hawaii, Japan, and mainland US via Ed Parker.

Martial arts was, also, modified in Hawaii by the Kajukempo people.

Generally martial arts, with respect to Hawaii, where the Imperial family resides, did not change that much. Innovative changes and competitive sparing from the 1940's onward allowed the martial arts to improve.

Wushu is the grand-daddy of all martial arts.

There is no other like wushu, which is from my family's origin, from the Chou Dynasty.

Max

Reply:it has to be the northern philippines sword fighting and technique called campilan, but was banned by the spanish due to grizzly exhibition of how to kill an opponent.
Reply:i guess you're talking about taolu wushu. i think capoeira is similar in the terms of geared more towards performance however theres no weapons(well they only might learn short sticks and knives)

XMA(extreme martial arts) and tricking focus ENTIRELY on showmanship and they use weapons too(not really a "martial" art since the focus is NOT fighting but its a blend fighting techniques and gymnastics)
