What martial arts should i do?

I did Aikido for a little bit, but it wasnt quite for me. i dont want to do karate or tae kwan do, cus its all about hitting, and nothing else ( and i dont want to do a martial arts thats just about kicking). whats a good martial arts, thats disciplined, and one you would reccommend?

What martial arts should i do?
Don't look for a particular art, just look for a good instructor regardless of the art. The place you look for should let you feel welcome and help you achieve your goals. It should also have a safe friendly environment and you should feel comfortable there. Focus on quality training. Belts and ranks shouldn't mean too much.

However with what you said, you would probably enjoy grappling. You should look into Judo or Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Reply:kang fu.
Reply:You might like Judo, which is more competitive than Aikido.

Perhaps you would like Jiu-Jitsu as well - they include punches and kicks, but also the throws and grapples.

You might also want to consider Yoseikan style Aikido - Unlike other Aikido schools, they incorporate methods of karate and jiu-jitsu and include strikes.
Reply:What about jujitsu...is a submission martial art, cause the goal aint punchin you lear how to submit you opponent, you can kil somebody without launchin a punch or kick, but also i have to recomend the martial art native from my country...

Reply:Try Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu and Ju-Jutsu together.
Reply:If you are competitive and like to grapple then Judo, Jujitsu or MMA.

If you are more into traditional arts, try ninjutsu or taijutsu (kind of the same thing) it has some strikes, some Aikido style grappling, and weapons.

Also, Hapkido might be fun for you. It has a lot of the kicks of TKD, plus some aikido style grappling.

Kajukenbo and some styles of kempo might be fun for you as well. Its a lot like karate, but faster, and better rounded.
Reply:if you want to kill people easily : ninjitsu

if you want to win fights: brazillian jiu jutsu

if you wanna compete in the ring: muay thai

if you want higher status: kung fu

if you wanna be as close to the samurai as possible: aikido

if you wanna break some sweat : karate

beleive me ive done them all
Reply:Since you have ruled out all striking styles %26amp; didn't like Aikido, you are kind of limited. Hapkido is a lot like Tae Kwan Do. That leaves Judo as maybe what you shouold try next.
Reply:Brazilian jujitsu , it is the perfect style , and the practical virgin of judo ..... however , if you didn't like aikido you "may" not like BJJ , if that was true , so i recommend kick boxing , yes it is about hitting , but not traditional like karate or taekwondo , not boring , and more effective .
